Readers would be aware that Janhvi Kapoor is currently gearing up for the release of her forthcoming film Mili, which is a remake of the Malayalam film Helen. The actress will be seen in a new avatar in this survival drama. As the actress is busy with the extensive promotions of the same, she has also been attending press conferences and media interactions as part of the process. During one such interaction, the actress came across a journalist who continued to persistently question her opinion regarding her late mother Sridevi, who was India’s first female superstar. However, it was the way she tackled that won the heart of many.
A Reddit page titled BollyBlindsNGossip shared a video of Janhvi Kapoor from one of the recent press conferences she attended where she was asked about a biopic on Sridevi. One of the journalists quizzed her if she would like to do a biopic on Sridevi if one was ever made. The actress curtly responded with a ‘No’. The journalist didn’t stop there but went on to ask her the reason behind it. But it was her response from won hearts. Janhvi said, “Answer bahut lamba hai aur abhi mujhe bhook lagi hai (It is a long answer and now I am hungry)”. Despite her constant avoidance of the question, the journalist insisted and asked her if she could sum it up in a brief manner. The actress added, “Mujhe rona nahi stage pe (I don’t want to cry on stage)”
Janhvi Kapoor will be essaying the role of a waiter who works for a food chain but gets trapped in a cold storage freezer for over 48 hours in Mili. The film also stars Sunny Kaushal and Manoj Pahwa in pivotal roles. Directed by Mathukutty Xavier, the film is expected to hit the big screens on November 4.
