Amitabh Bachchan’s 80th birthday: Daughter Shweta shares a heartwarming wish for her ‘grand old man’ with a photo dump

October 11 this year marks the 80th birthday of legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan. Among many others, it's her daughter Shweta Bachchan who wrote a heartwarming birthday note for him. While taking to her official social media handle, Shweta dropped a photo dump, featuring a few unseen photos of the Shahenshah.

On the other hand, Shweta wrote a Punjabi poem in her caption along with “To my grand old man Happy 80th Birthday”. In one of the images, Amitabh can be seen walking hand-in-hand with toddler Shweta. The multiple-picture post on Shweta’s Instagram handle garnered love from Bachchan’s fans.

Among many others, Soha Ali Khan, Angad Bedi, Navya Naveli Nanda, Hrithik Roshan, Maheep Kapoor, Neha Dhupia and Zoya Akhtar also reacted to the post while wishing the megastar a happy birthday. “Beautiful post Shweta exclaimed a fan, while another called him "the King of India". The comments section was flooded with red-heart emoticons.

Interestingly, the previous post on Shweta’s Instagram media feed is also dedicated to her actor father. In the throwback picture, little Shweta can be seen posing with a smile as dad Amitabh lifts her up. In the short yet sweet caption, she wrote, “As the song goes … “but you love me daddy” & I you”.

Not only Shweta, but the entire India is celebrating the Don actor’s 80th birthday. To mark the occasion, the Film Heritage Foundation along with PVR Cinemas has announced a four-day film festival. In the film festival, Bachchan Back To The Beginning, presented 11 films of Big B over 22 theatres all around India. The list includes Kabhie Kabhie, Amar Akbar Anthony, Namak Halaal, Abhimaan, Deewar, Mili, Satte Pe Satta, and Chupke Chupke.
